Academic Advisors
Academic advisors play a critical role in the transfer student process. Advisors assist students in their transition from the community college to ASU by providing information regarding the articulation process and the resources available to assist students in making their decisions. Our commitment is to help university and community college academic advisors teach students about their role in the transfer process and to provide dependable, accurate resources which may assist both the student and advisor.
ASU Faculty, Community College Faculty and Curriculum Staff
ASU role in articulation
As an ASU faculty member, you are a vital part of the transfer articulation process. For those who are participants in the Arizona statewide discipline-specific articulation task forces (ATF's), we provide training and ongoing support and guidance for your role in the statewide transfer model. Our office facilitates course equivalency evaluations (through ACETS), arranges evaluator accounts and training, and provides guidance for faculty evaluators. For those involved in curriculum and program development, we can offer insight on the impact of proposed innovations on transfer students and partners, and can assist and guide ASU colleges, schools and departments in the development of articulation agreements with our community college partners.
Community college role in articulation
We look forward to working with community college faculty and curriculum staff as you seek opportunities for your transfer students. Our office can assist you with general studies applications, Course Equivalency Guide (CEG)-and ACETS-related questions as well as facilitate connections to the appropriate ASU faculty or department regarding discipline-specific articulation issues.
